Thermitrex (Pty) Limited was established in 1971.Thermitrex is a manufacturer of THERMIT® welding consumables and equipment for the aluminothermic welding of rails. Our products are compatible with all rail profiles and rail steel chemistries/metallurgies. Thermitrex is accredited with ISO-9001:2015 Quality Management system by Det Norske Veritas. In 1995 Thermitrex established a foundry which supplies Ferro-Manganese globally to the Goldschmidt Thermit Group. It also supplies Demil portions for safer destruction of unwanted ammunitions to defense forces.
