Habibu Suluo

Mr Suluo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom (UK). He also holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree in Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam. He is professionally qualified in Accountancy [Certified Public Accountant – CPA(T)] and has a registration status as a Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA). He is also a Certified Director by the Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IoDT) and a Certified Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSCP) issued jointly by the Balanced Scorecard Institute and The George Washington University College of Professional Studies, USA. Furthermore, Mr Suluo holds a Diploma in International Public Sector Accounting Standards (Diploma in IPSAS) issued by the National Board of Accountants & Auditors (NBAA). He is an Associate Chartered Management Institute (ACMI) member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) of the UK and a member of the Tanzania Association of Accountants (TAA).

Mr Suluo, has over 28 years post graduate experience serving in the public sector including Tanzania Electric Supply Company TANESCO), as a Systems Analyst Trainee, Systems Analyst and Zone Accounting Systems Analyst; Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Senior Principal Accountant, Senior Principal Accountant Cum Quality Manager, Manager Financial Systems Cum Quality Manager and Manager Expenditure Accounting Cum Quality Manager; the then Surface and Marine Transport Regulatory Authority (SUMATRA) as Finance Manager, Director of Corporate Affairs and Director of Finance, Human Resource & Administration; and Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC) as the Director of Finance and Accounts.

Mr Suluo is also serving as a non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited-TSN, Guaranty Trust Bank (Tanzania) Limited – GT Bank, and Yemen Secondary School. On these Boards, he also serves as Audit Committee Chairman of TSN and GT Bank.

In addition, Mr Suluo has had exposure in working with international firms including Fulcrum Maritime Systems Limited of London, UK, under the Commonwealth Chevening Scholars exchange programme.
