Hishaam Emeran
Mr Emeran, a recognised authority in the transportation industry, brings nearly 30 years of dedicated service to his role. He has contributed 18 of those years to the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA), where he has undertaken a plethora of pivotal roles. This followed a productive decade in the private sector.
Mr. Emeran’s academic credentials include a Master’s in Philosophy in Transport Studies from the University of Cape Town, a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering Transportation, and a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, both from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
During his tenure at PRASA, Mr Emeran has served as the CEO of PRASA Technical and is currently the Group CEO for PRASA.
As a distinguished leader in his field, Mr Emeran boasts a wealth of experience in transportation planning, engineering, and management. His robust connections with key engineering and transportation stakeholders across the industry have significantly strengthened PRASA’s standing, further equipping the organisation to successfully navigate the dynamic transportation landscape.
