Ms. Mandisa joined Transnet in 1999 as an Environmental Planning Manager and quickly moved her way up the ranks, in a series of promotions. She held the roles of Senior Manager: Environment, Executive Manager: Safety, Health and Environment, General Manager: Enterprise Risk Management, General Manager: Mineral Mining and Chrome, General Manager: Coal, a stint as Managing Executive: North Corridor followed by two years as Corporate Executive Safety culminating in her current role as Acting Managing Executive in the North East Corridor.
With over two decades of dedicated service to Transnet, Mandisa’s accolades include winning the Institute of Risk Management South Africa’s (IRMSA) Transport Logistics Industry Award for two successive years, in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Mandisa holds master’s in business leadership (MBL) from the UNISA School of Business Leadership, a master’s in environmental management (University of North-West Potchefstroom), BSc in Geology and Hydrology (University of Zululand). She also completed various leadership programmes including the Global Executive Development Programme from the Gordons Institute of Business Science (GIBS).
