Portia Gumbo Dube
Portia Gumbo-Dube joined the Export Credit Insurance Corporation of South Africa SOC Ltd (ECIC) in 2015 as Head of Business Development. Her responsibilities include client relationship management and deal origination for the corporation.
Previous experience was gained working in various international and African markets for the Barclays Group which she joined as a graduate.
Portia has originated structured, arranged, negotiated & syndicated various debt transactions from inception to close across the investment banking product spectrum. She has executed Corporate, Project Finance and Export Credit Agency backed finance transactions for Corporate and State-owned entities in various geographic locations including Angola, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Tanzania, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Portia holds a BA (Hons) Accountancy degree from the University of Bournemouth and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Bath, United Kingdom.
