Emmanuel Hachipuka

Mr Emmanuel Hachipuka is an accomplished Business Executive with over 40 years outstanding experience in the railway industry, public finance management and accounting, managing key economic institutions in both public and private sectors. He currently serves as Board Chairperson for Zambia Railways Limited.

Mr Hachipuka graduated as a Chartered Certified Accountant from Polytechnic Birmingham in the United Kingdom (UK). Additionally, he completed executive programmes in Corporate Governance among other professional development programmes.

He served as Zambia Railways Limited Managing Director from 1984 -1989. 

Mr Hachipuka served as Senior Finance Manager and General Manager at Nchanga Consolidated Copper Mines. At Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM), he was Director Finance and worked as Director Business Development.  

In addition, Mr Hachipuka served as Co- Managing Director at National Milling leading to its privatisation. He was then offered the position of Director Administration which led him into politics.

Mr Hachipuka served as Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of Zambia . He was team leader of the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee and held various positions of responsibility as a Parliamentarian. He also served as Board Chairperson of Zambia International Trade Fair.

Outside of his professional endeavours, Mr Hachipuka is a successful Farmer.
